A senior citizen has been hit by a car and seriously injured. The 71-year-old was walking along the right-hand side of the road in a district of Mildenau (Erzgebirgskreis) on Saturday morning, according to the police. A 78-year-old driver on the same side of the road hit the woman with his car. The senior citizen was taken to a clinic for treatment. Further investigations into the circumstances of the accident have been initiated.
