Travel under the earth or far back in time: Curious children between the ages of eight and twelve can do just that at Leipzig University's "Children's University". According to the university, the series of events will offer free lectures for junior students for four weeks from November 8.
The topics range from equestrian nomads from 2,200 years ago to creatures in our soil and a lecture on how to recognize fake images and videos on the Internet. Children will receive a mini-bachelor's certificate for attending at least three lectures.
Universities in other Saxon cities also offer children's programs. There are offers at TU Dresden, Zwickau University of Applied Sciences, Plauen University of Applied Sciences and in Freiberg, among others.
