Roland Kaiser (72) only recently saw his wax double in Dresden. However, the pop star wants to present his doppelganger in the set of the Madame Tussauds wax museum in Berlin today and look back on his 50th stage anniversary this year.
According to a spokeswoman, his likeness will stand in a scaled-down replica of his "Kaisermania" sets, with the famous Dresden Old Town backdrop and videos of his legendary shows.
With his "Kaisermania" concert series, Kaiser has been turning the banks of the Elbe in Dresden into a party zone on several evenings each summer for years. The Berlin-born singer has had a kind of love affair with "Florence on the Elbe" since his first visit in 1990 and even wrote an anthem for his "affair" Dresden years ago.
Double concerts in Berlin to round off the tour
At the start of the 21st edition at the end of July, the singer inspected his wax double for the first time - and praised it. "A perfect double, you could say." His figure is to be a permanent fixture at Madame Tussauds.
The last two concerts of Kaiser's tour "RK50 - 50 Years - 50 Hits - The big tour for the 50th stage anniversary" are planned for the Waldbühne in Berlin on Friday and Saturday.
