The three castles on the banks of the Elbe in Dresden are a feast for the eyes. They are illuminated every year for the Castle Night. The 14th edition of the spectacle also scored with fantastic weather.

Full moon, warm temperatures and fireworks: the Dresden Castle Night remains a magnet for visitors. The 14th edition of the spectacle was also sold out on Saturday evening with 6000 visitors. Since 2009, the event in the vicinity of the three Elbe castles has attracted music fans, connoisseurs and dance enthusiasts from all over Germany, as the organizer announced with regard to ticket orders. A third of the guests come from outside Germany. Dancing was possible in six areas until after midnight. At the Urban Live Gallery in the Roman Baths below Albrechtsberg Castle, ten graffiti artists worked on their works in front of the guests. The pictures were then auctioned off.

A total of eleven hours of music were offered to the guests of the Schlössernacht - by more than 300 artists on 18 stages and performance areas. The parks of Albrechtsberg Castle, Lingnerschloss, Eckberg Castle and the Saloppe were transformed into a large open-air festival site. More than 1,000 spotlights and light sources put the event in the right light.
