Exploring several companies in one evening directly on site and trying out professions in practice - this is the proven and successful trademark of the "Leipzig Night of Training", which will be offered again on Friday, May 23, from 16:00 to 24:00. From next Thursday (17 April), school pupils from Year 7 and young people about to choose a career can already book their individual places and routes (with parents or relatives).
This year, there are over 150 professions and 40 dual study courses to choose from in 120 companies, as well as a wide range of internships on offer. As usual, all training offers will be covered by the free shuttle bus on more than 30 routes.
As in previous years, the special feature of the Leipzig Training Night is that all participating companies have prepared exciting hands-on activities. Instead of long presentations, visitors can look forward to exclusive insights into everyday life at the company. Trainees and those responsible for training will explain first-hand what each profession involves.
Clemens Schülke, Mayor and Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, Labor and Digital Affairs: "The Leipzig Night of Training opens the door to young people's professional future. The special thing about it: They get to know companies directly on site and at first hand and gain real insights behind the scenes. They can ask questions that are otherwise rarely asked. At the same time, it is a great opportunity for companies: They present themselves as employers and can get in touch with young talent at an early stage."
Participation in the event is free of charge, but registration is required. Visitors can choose a guided bus or walking route online, which will take them to three companies. Alternatively, they can also book appointments for direct visits to the companies and travel to them themselves with a free LVB ticket.
Three large locations have also been set up: "Neues Rathaus", "Handwerks-Spot" and "Blaulicht- und Sicherheitsmeile am Hauptbahnhof". Here, families can talk to several companies at once without having to register.
All information and details, the various routes, participating companies and registration can be found at www.leipzig.de/ausbildungsnacht.
The 4th Leipzig Training Night is organized by the city's Employment Policy Department and sponsored by Leipziger Gruppe.
