The Saxon state parliament plans to set up its committees and specialist committees on Wednesday (10.00) at its first meeting of the new year. Until now, a main committee set up for the constituent session of parliament has regulated the tasks. As before, there will be eleven specialist committees. Instead of the previous 19 members, they will now have 18.
At the same time, the members of parliament will also elect the members of the Parliamentary Control Commission (PKK), the Parliamentary Control Panel and the so-called G-10 Commission of the state parliament. The PKK is supposed to monitor the activities of the state government to oversee the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution and also the secret service itself.
