Saxon BSW Chairwoman Sabine Zimmermann accuses the CDU and SPD of deceiving the state parliament with their coalition agreement before the election of the Minister President. "If all of the minority government's projects are subject to financial viability, the state parliament is being asked to buy a pig in a poke: We simply don't know what the CDU and SPD can and want to realize at all," she said, according to a statement.
Zimmermann called for the debt brake in Saxony to be made more flexible to allow for investments, hospitals, schools and transport infrastructure. The BSW chairwoman is also critical of the cuts to payments into the generation fund for the future pensions of civil servants provided for in the coalition agreement between the CDU and SPD.
"Michael Kretschmer obviously just wants to secure our votes for the prime minister election." He is acting as if all necessary investments can be made with the measure.
