Saxony is represented by eight regions in the federal program "Aller.Land" - a funding program for rural areas in the cultural sector. In addition to the Bautzener Land region, this includes the Erzgebirge, Central Saxony, the Göltzschtal association of towns, the Porphyry Land National Geopark, the north of the district of Görlitz, the Oberlausitzer Bergland and Stolpen, Hohnstein, Neustadt/Saxony, Sebnitz, Dürrröhrsdorf- Dittersbach, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced on Tuesday. Nationwide, 93 rural regions are involved. In the coming year, they will each receive funding of 40,000 euros to develop concepts for cultural projects. These include cultural networks, festivals and cultural offices.

The second project phase will begin in mid-2025 and is expected to run until 2030. By then, 30 regions will still be in the running. During this period, each region can receive up to 1.5 million euros in funding. Annual allocations of up to 250,000 euros are planned. The federal government is providing a total of 69.4 million euros. The selected regions will contribute co-financing of 5.9 million euros from 2025. The funding program is primarily aimed at structurally weak rural regions.
