The Saxon state parliament is expected to meet for the last time before the summer break on Thursday (9.00 a.m.). A few weeks before the end of the legislative period, MPs have to vote on two dozen bills. The meeting on Wednesday was therefore scheduled to last until two hours after midnight.

This is not the last state parliament session for the MPs in this constellation. After the state elections on September 1, another plenary session is planned for September 26. A report by the committee of inquiry into funding practices for asylum and integration measures is then on the agenda.
