RB Leipzig coach Zsolt Löw was harsh on his team after their disastrous 4-0 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt. "We failed as a collective today," said Löw after the defeat in the top duel of matchday 31 in the Bundesliga.
The 45-year-old was not sparing with self-criticism after the setback in the race for Champions League qualification. "If something doesn't work - tactically or if the team isn't mentally well prepared - then of course I'm primarily responsible for that."
Now Bayern are coming
BB has slipped to fifth place because SC Freiburg won 1-0 at VfL Wolfsburg. The Saxons would therefore not currently qualify for the top flight. A return to the European Cup is even in complete jeopardy. Although the gap to fourth place is only two points, the gap to seventh place is also two points.
On the next matchday, Leipzig will also host FC Bayern Munich, who will be looking to secure the championship at RB. "We still have three games left where we can still pick up points. Of course, it's not the easiest task to beat Bayern Munich," said Löw. But they will try everything to take something countable with them.
