After the impressive escape against VfB Lübeck, Stefan Kutschke was first and foremost proud. "There was a lot of pressure on the team after the first games of the new year. A team has to come back like that first," said the Dynamo Dresden captain on "Magentasport".
After three defeats from four games and the loss of the lead in the 3rd soccer league, the promotion favorites bounced back with a 7:2 win against newly promoted Lübeck. Leaders Regensburg are now just three points ahead of their closest rivals Dynamo. And that one week before the Saxony derby at Erzgebirge Aue.
It was a statement in the promotion race, but nothing more. According to striker Kutschke, the season was a marathon. "We fell down briefly. The question is how strong you get up again," said the 35-year-old, who scored once at the goal festival. You don't want to gloss over the defeats. "But we have to be convinced of what we're doing."
The difference to the previous games was the conversion of chances. "Effort and return were in the right proportion," said Kutschke. Coach Markus Anfang complimented his team: "The boys forced the goals. We were rewarded. Regardless of whether we were a man up. We would have won anyway," said the coach.
Because when Jannik Löhden saw the red card in the 40th minute, Dynamo were already leading 4:1. Nevertheless, there was a lot of discussion about the scene, it was a duel with Kutschke, because referee Wolfgang Haslberger (St. Wolfgang) was wrong with his decision. It was a harmless little kick from Löhden and not an assault.
Kutschke also saw it that way and drew his conclusions. "I'll go to the referee and say that it wasn't a red card. He should make a note of it," said the veteran. Kutschke criticized the linesman in particular, who had a clear view of the situation: "It can't be that he doesn't see that. We can't always hold the players accountable, we have to do the same with the referees."
