The Niners Chemnitz basketball team remains on course for the play-offs. The club from Saxony beat MLP Academics Heidelberg 72:65 (38:33) in front of its home crowd to move past the visitors in fifth place in the table. Olivier Nkamhoua (16 points), Jeff Garrett (12 points), Victor Bailey Jr. and William Christmas (11 points each) played the biggest part in Saxony's eleventh win of the season. The home side only got up to operating temperature midway through the first quarter. Thanks to a 14:3 run, they turned the game around after trailing 4:13 (5th minute) and extended their lead to 34:19. However, the game's thread then snapped. Heidelberg got as close as one point at 46:47. However, the club from Saxony pulled 56:46 ahead again with nine points in a row and broke the visitors' resistance.
