Leipzig coach Marco Rose expressed his surprise at his team's performance in the defeat at Borussia Dortmund and hopes his team will learn from the game. The 1:2 (1:1) in the Bundesliga top match was the second-placed team's first defeat after 19 consecutive unbeaten league games across the season. "We had a great opportunity to distance ourselves from Borussia Dortmund. We didn't manage that. It wasn't done well in all respects," said the former Dortmund coach on his team's disappointing performance.
"In bigger games, we always have the issue that we lack confidence and conviction," Rose continued, hoping that his team will "learn". His team face Celtic Glasgow in the Champions League on Tuesday and another of his former clubs, Borussia Mönchengladbach, in the league next weekend.
