Before the Saxony derby against Dynamo Dresden, FC Erzgebirge Aue have made a transfer in defensive midfield. The Erzgebirge have signed Ali Loune from 1. FC Nürnberg with immediate effect. The 22-year-old midfielder impressed in recent trial training and is expected to fill the gap following Can Özkan's injury.
"The impressions confirmed our previous research and video viewings. He also fits in with us on a personal level and we are delighted to have convinced him to move to Lößnitztal," said sporting director Matthias Heidrich, thanking the Franconians for the "collegial handling of the transfer on loan".
Born in Hanau, Loune came through Eintracht Frankfurt's youth academy before signing a professional contract with the club and making six appearances in the Bundesliga 2 so far. In the current season, the 1.80-metre tall Loune has only played in the regional league in Nuremberg and now wants to take his chance in the 3rd division.
