RB Leipzig will play their cup semi-final at VfB Stuttgart on April 2. This was announced by the club. Kick-off time at the Swabians is 8.45 pm. "The decisive factor will also be who shows the greater willpower. The goal is clear: we absolutely want to take the final step," said Leipzig's sporting director Marcel Schäfer after the draw. The final will be played in Berlin on May 24.
The two teams have yet to meet in the cup. In the Bundesliga, the Swabians have won the last two home games. However, Leipzig have reached the semi-finals of the DFB Cup for the fifth time in the past seven years, with RB winning the cup in 2022 and 2023.
