Third-division soccer club Dynamo Dresden voted at its ordinary general meeting for the new areas of women's soccer and e-sports. The two motions to amend the content of the articles of association were approved by the 733 members present (7 of whom were not entitled to vote). The General Assembly, which once again excluded media representatives from the event on Saturday at the International Congress Center Dresden following two motions, also elected a new Executive Committee. Holger Scholze, Michael Bürger and Ronny Rehn remain members of the committee. The exact responsibilities will be determined at a constituent meeting in the near future. The successor candidate is Peter Krüger.
As previously announced, Dynamo closed the 2022/2023 financial year with a deficit of around 854,000 euros. This was due to the sporting situation, as TV funding was cut following the club's relegation from the second division. Dynamo continued to invest in the squad in order to secure promotion. After all, the sports club has equity of 9.8 million euros. According to the annual report, the forecast for the current season is therefore for a "net loss in the low single-digit million range".
