Aue win 6:4 in Sandhausen thanks to Sijaric's treble

FC Erzgebirge Aue have ended their sporting crisis. The team led by interim coach Jörg Emmerich won 6:4 (3:1) at SV Sandhausen. The goal festival was a liberating blow for the Saxons, who had lost seven of their last ten league games. Coach Jens Härtel will take over the team from Saxony on January 2.

Omar Sijaric (26th minute, 41st, 58th), Kilian Jakob (31st), Ali Loune (70th) and Sean Seitz (77th) scored for Aue. Sandhausen initially took the lead with a goal from Jakob Lewald (10'), while Sebastian Stolze (57'), Dominic Baumann (76') and Jeremias Lorch (90.+5) also scored for the hosts from Baden-Württemberg, who lost for the third time in a row.

The first goal from Sandhausen was straight in. But Auer's high share of the game paid off. First, Sijaric volleyed the ball into the net to equalize, then Jakob converted a long ball from Niko Vukancic to take the lead. Sijaric scored with a side-footed shot to make it 3:1.

After the changeover, Sandhausen scored their second goal thanks to Stolze. While the hosts were still celebrating, Aue's Marcel Bär extended a deflection from goalkeeper Martin Männel into the path of Sijaric, who finished flat into the left corner.

Loune then made it 5:2 before Baumann also scored for Sandhausen. Seitz scored the sixth Aue goal. In stoppage time, Lorch added the tenth goal of the game from an acute angle to make the final score 6:4.
