Going to a restaurant, insurance and social services have become more expensive in Saxony. Overall, however, the inflation rate is falling slightly.

The inflation rate in Saxony has fallen further. According to preliminary figures, the annual inflation rate in September was 2.4 percent, as reported by the State Statistical Office in Kamenz. In August, the figure was 2.6 percent. The highest increase compared to September 2023 was recorded in the restaurant and accommodation sector (up 6.4 percent) as well as insurance (up 12.5 percent) and social services, where prices rose by 8.3 percent. Prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, on the other hand, rose by an average of two percent.
