International award for premium taste from Saxony
The International Taste Institute in Brussels has awarded the "OPPACHER Mineral Water Medium" the Superior Taste Award 2025 and the highest rating of three stars. The jury, consisting of top chefs, sommeliers and taste experts from all over Europe, praised the premium taste of the Saxon mineral water in particular. This is the ninth award in a row for Oppacher Mineralquellen - an impressive testament to its consistently high quality and sensory excellence.
Granite rock ensures unique premium taste
The Oppacher mineral water is extracted from deep wells in the densely wooded Oberlausitzer Bergland landscape conservation area. There it flows for many years through the largest contiguous granite block in Central Europe, which gives the water its natural, harmonious and particularly gentle taste - the basis for the award-winning premium taste. "This award for our outstanding water is also recognition of our work in the well operation," explains owner Eric Schäffer proudly.
Sustainability as the basis for quality
On 22 March, International World Water Day, the focus is on the responsible use of water resources. This is a key issue for Schäffer: "Our regional mineral water is a unique natural product that we protect with the utmost care." The company relies on sustainable spring management, modern and energy-efficient bottling techniques, environmentally friendly LED lighting and short transport routes - all to preserve nature while ensuring the highest quality.
Regional origin, European top class
Oppacher was the first Central German mineral spring to receive the Superior Taste Award - and is now one of the best mineral water producers in Europe. The ninth award impressively confirms the company's claim to deliver premium quality. The continuous award underlines: If you are looking for real premium taste in mineral water, there is no way around Oppacher.
