A very special adventure awaits the Red Bulls at the end of the season: a post-season tour to Brazil is on the agenda. From May 23 to 30, RB Leipzig will travel to the world's largest metropolitan region, Sao Paulo, under the motto "Tamo Junto" ("We together"). This tour marks the first time in over 25 years that a Bundesliga club has undertaken a tour of Brazil after the end of the season.
The entire squad and coaching staff will be there, after the team has had a few days' rest following the final game of the season against VfB Stuttgart. During the tour, RB Leipzig will train at the Red Bull Bragantino Academy in Atibaia, which will not open until 2024. This offers first-class training conditions with six grass pitches, two artificial pitches and a spacious canteen.
The trip to Brazil is not just about sporting preparation and raising the profile of the Bundesliga. It also has economic interests, as RB Managing Director Johann Plenge explains. Brazil is an important market for the DFL and its partners Red Bull and Puma.
The highlight of the tour is the friendly match on May 28 against FC Santos, Neymar's former club. FC Santos, with an eventful history and players such as Pelé, is looking forward to playing against one of the best European teams. In addition to the soccer match, the RB stars will be involved in numerous activities, including CSR campaigns and public training sessions with Red Bull participation.
The tour offers RB Leipzig the opportunity to act as ambassadors for the Bundesliga in South America while gaining valuable experience both on and off the pitch.
