A new album by Purple Disco Machine will be released in September, before which he will be performing in Dresden. It is only the second concert in his home city. A special date for the Grammy winner.

Just over a month before the release of his new album, Dresden DJ Purple Disco Machine is returning to the stages of the state capital. Tino Piontek, the DJ's real name, told the German Press Agency that he particularly enjoys performing in Dresden. After his first performance in his home city almost a year ago, it was immediately clear that he wanted to do it again in 2024.

The concert on Saturday at the Filmnächte am Elbufer is the starting signal for the tour for the new album "Paradise", which will be released on September 20. A total of 21 dates are planned, all but three in the USA and Mexico in Europe. In Germany, Purple Disco Machine will also be performing in Hamburg, Berlin, Cologne and Stuttgart.

Special highlight at the show in Dresden

It is the first tour with the band, and the show at the Junge Garde in Dresden last September served as a kind of test run. "We've now perfected what we tried out last year," says Piontek.

On Saturday, concertgoers can look forward to a special highlight. "Dresden will definitely be a bit different from the rest of the tour because we have a few more artists with us who are also on the album," announces Piontek.

The Dresden DJ and producer was awarded a Grammy in the "Best Remix Recording" category in 2023 for a remix of the track "About Damn Time" by US singer Lizzo. He also celebrated international success with songs such as "Hypnotized" and "Fireworks".
