Jazztage Dresden: 23rd edition of the festival opens with record numbers

Jazztage Dresden kicks off with 80 concerts and more than 500 guests from 30 countries. A record number of visitors is expected.

The Jazztage Dresden want to spoil their audience with 80 concerts starting this Friday. More than 500 guests from 30 countries will be attending the 23rd edition of the festival, organizers announced in Dresden on Thursday. Based on the figures from advance sales, the festival expects a record number of visitors until the finale on November 26. Before the Corona pandemic, up to 40,000 fans came to the concerts. Once again, renowned musicians will travel to the festival, including Candy Dulfer, Ute Lemper, Stanley Clarke, Rebekka Bakken and Maria Joao. Australian multi-instrumentalist James Morrison is the guest of honor as artist in residence.
