The baroque setting of Dresden's Semperoper will be the venue for the only German concert by legendary electro-pop band Kraftwerk this year. This continues the group's series of multi-media shows at historic locations, concert organizer FKP Scorpio announced on Wednesday. They have already performed in front of Karlsruhe Palace and the Acropolis in Athens, and a concert is also planned for Schönbrunn Palace in Vienna at the beginning of July. The Kraftwerk project originated in 1970 in the experimental art scene in Düsseldorf. The band made music history and set the style for genres such as electro, synth pop, minimal and techno. Well-known songs include "Computer Liebe", "Mensch-Maschine" and "Autobahn". The concert in Dresden is scheduled for September 14.
