Prisoners' Christmas market in front of Zeithain prison

An unusual Christmas market is being held at the gates of Zeithain prison (Meißen district). On November 29, products made by the inmates will be sold there, according to the prison administration. These range from Christmas items and textiles to fire barrels and garden furniture.

"While strolling through our market, we also want to talk to visitors at various stands and provide information about our work," said prison director Anke Palm. However, visitors will have to do without mulled wine. However, this is not available due to the ban on alcohol in the security area.
