A 16-year-old female motorcyclist was seriously injured in a rear-end collision on the Autobahn 4 near Wilsdruff (Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district). She was taken to hospital by rescue helicopter, according to the police.
The accident occurred when a 68-year-old car driver had to brake for traffic on Saturday afternoon. A following 45-year-old driver recognized this too late and hit the car in front. The teenager then crashed her motorcycle into the 45-year-old's car.
No other people were injured. Property damage of around 10,000 euros was caused. One lane was temporarily closed due to the accident investigation, resulting in a tailback of around two kilometers.
