After the insolvency of the textile company Curt Bauer in Aue-Bad Schlema, several investors are interested in joining the company. This could happen this summer, explained insolvency administrator Rüdiger Bauch. In the meantime, operations are continuing in full. Numerous new orders have also been received. Wages and salaries have been generated from ongoing business operations again since July 1. This shows that the restructuring is on the right track and the company is well positioned, emphasized Bauch.
Curt Bauer manufactures table and bed linen, clothing damask and technical textiles. In April, the company filed for the opening of insolvency proceedings. According to Bauch, the financial difficulties were caused by the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic and price increases due to the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine. The entry of an investor is also linked to a concept for the long-term realignment of the company. "Our goal is still clear: we are doing everything we can to preserve the company and the jobs of around 100 employees," emphasized Bauch. "I remain confident that the restructuring of Curt Bauer can succeed."
