Tree on the track: train services in the Vogtland district restricted

There were restrictions and delays to train services in the Vogtland district on Wednesday due to the weather. According to the Erfurt railroad company, there is currently no train service between Gutenfürst and Schönberg (both in the Vogtland district). The reason for this is a fallen tree on the track. Since Wednesday morning, a replacement bus service has therefore been in operation between the two towns. Trains between Hof and Gutenfürst and in the opposite direction between Gera main station and Schönberg are continuing as normal.

A storm depression caused some heavy gusts of wind in Saxony on Wednesday - according to the German Weather Service (DWD), wind speeds of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour were possible.
