On average, every police officer in Saxony puts in around 16 hours of overtime. According to the Ministry of the Interior, however, there has been very little change in recent years.

Police officers in Saxony worked an average of 15.8 hours overtime in September. This was announced by the Saxon Ministry of the Interior on request. From June to July, it was even more, namely 16.9 hours per person.

In total, the amount of overtime worked by police officers has not changed significantly in recent years, it said. According to the Ministry of the Interior, the number of overtime hours is subject to fluctuations: Officers build up overtime at the beginning of the year and reduce it towards the end of the year.
