The waterworks in Dresden-Coschütz will be renovated in the coming months. The measures start this week and will last until January 2024, as SachsenEnergie announced on Tuesday. Accordingly, the provider invests six million euros in construction measures, maintenance and servicing.
During the rehabilitation, the waterworks is out of service. During this time, the waterworks in Tolkewitz and Hosterwitz take over the drinking water supply of Dresden. Since the two draw their water from different sources, it could be that the water tastes different. At the drinking water quality nothing changes.

Until January a part of the gallery three is to be reorganized, which brings water from the dam Klingenberg to Dresden, as well as the pure water collecting channel, in which purified water is collected final prepared.
In the first half-year 2023 parts of the water works Hosterwitz were already reorganized and for it more than three million euro were invested, it was further said. In the future, too, major investments in the water facilities would be necessary to secure the stock and to safely cover the water demand in the long term.
