Dynamo Dresden strengthen their defense with Andi Hoti. Coach Thomas Stamm knows him from his time at Freiburg.

Andi Hoti has joined Dynamo Dresden with immediate effect. The 21-year-old central defender joins the Black & Yellows on loan from second division side 1. FC Magdeburg until the end of the season, the third division club announced. "In Andi, we have been able to acquire a young and very talented player who can further his development here in Dresden and add stability to our team," said Dynamo sporting director Thomas Brendel.

Hoti was born in Switzerland and initially trained at FC Zurich. The 1.93-meter defender also went through Inter Milan's youth academy. Dresden head coach Thomas Stamm has known Hoti since the 2022/23 season, when they both surprisingly finished second in the 3rd division with SC Freiburg's second team. He subsequently played 24 games for FCM in the 2nd Bundesliga and the DFB Cup.
