Rostock are still waiting for their first win after matchday 6. The point was fought for in Dresden, but Dynamo squandered the victory due to too few clear actions.

Dynamo Dresden have surrendered the lead in the 3rd Football League table. The Saxons were held to a 1:1 (1:0) draw in their clash with FC Hansa Rostock. Christoph Daferner fired Dynamo into the lead after just nine minutes. In front of 31,434 spectators in the sold-out Rudolf Harbig Stadium, Ryan Don Naderi (74) equalized. The relegated second-division side from the Baltic Sea are thus still waiting for their first win of the season after matchday 6.

FC Hansa started very courageously, attacking early and thus preventing Dynamo's hoped-for star attack. Despite this, the hosts had a chance through Stefan Kutschke in the very first minute. His shot just missed the goal. Daferner then did better when he dusted off Kutschke's shot, which Hansa goalkeeper Benjamin Uphoff had trouble defending, to take the lead.

Strong Hansa goalkeeper saves several times

The visitors' keeper then saved his team from going further behind. He first saved from Daferner (27') and seconds later made a great reflex save from a Lars Bünning header from close range. He was also on hand to save a long-range shot from Aljaz Casar (31).

For a long time, there was nothing to see from Hansa offensively. It was only when Dynamo incomprehensibly pulled back and slowed the pace of the game that the visitors also had their chances. First Damian Roßbach failed to score (34'), then Nils Fröling (38') missed after a beautiful pass from Adrien Lebeau.

Dynamo powerplay without results

After the break, Hansa became more aggressive in tackles and impressed Dresden. They tried to make it 2:0 with a power play and high crosses into the penalty area. But Uphoff, facing the low sun, and above all defensive boss Roßbach were on the ball. Dresden, who were struggling to find their feet, then allowed the visitors to mount more attacks, but these were largely devoid of ideas. The equalizer came practically out of nowhere when the Dynamo defence overlooked Naderi and he converted freely.

After that, there were chances on both sides, but both Oliver Batista Meier (78') and Naderi (83') failed to beat the goalkeepers Uphoff and Tim Schreiber. So it remained a fair draw in the end.
