The FC Erzgebirge Aue has lost the game luck. The 0:4 (0:2) on Wednesday night at promoted Preußen Münster was the third defeat in a row. Instead of settling in the table above, it goes with the "violets" steadily downhill.
"We defended badly and got much too early the first goal against. Ultimately, today was a used day," summed up Aues coach Pavel Dotchev at "MagentaSport". While the guests from the Erzgebirge made a solid impression in the first half and even the 0:2 deficit seemed far from final, they failed to break free in the second half. "The third goal has broken our neck," said Dotchev.
Offensive player Marvin Stefaniak struggled after the game for your explanation: "It is difficult to find the words. We drive here felt 600 kilometers and then deliver such a performance." Both Dotchev and Stefaniak agreed that the defeat was also linked to the hosts' relentless exploitation of chances. "You noticed that everything worked for the opponent today and nothing at all for us," said Stefaniak.
With a view to the upcoming home game against 1. FC Saarbrücken next Saturday, Pavel Dotchev said, "If we show a reaction on Saturday, it's fine - today, however, it was just bust, bad luck and breakdowns."
