Third division club Dynamo Dresden must pay a fine of 119,100 euros following a ruling by the sports court of the German Football Association (DFB). The court thus punished two cases of unsportsmanlike conduct by the club's supporters. Dynamo can use 39,700 euros for security and violence prevention measures. The Saxons have already agreed to the verdict, making it legally binding.
Before and during the DFB Cup match against Darmstadt 98 on October 30, 2024, Dresden spectators set off at least 220 Bengal flares in addition to 40 flashlights and shot off numerous pyrotechnic objects from two firework batteries.
The match had to be interrupted twice for a total of five minutes due to the smoke development. In addition, a lighter and a cup were thrown into the stadium from the Dresden spectator area in injury time.
