Handball Bundesliga club SC DHfK Leipzig has made two groundbreaking decisions for its squad for the coming years. The Saxons have signed the Swede Adam Lönn for the backcourt. The club also extended the contract with defense specialist Marko Mamic. Both players signed working papers until the summer of 2027.
"In Adam, we are getting a player who has an extremely good mentality and will need little time to get used to his new surroundings due to his time in Germany. His physical style of play will give us more options both in attack and in defense," said sporting director Bastian Roscheck.
Important extension with Mamic
Swede Lönn comes from Pays d'Aix in France, but knows the Bundesliga very well. The 33-year-old played for TBV Stuttgart from 2019 to 2024 and scored over 500 goals in the league during that period.
Mamic has been playing for Leipzig since 2019 and the club described his extension as "an important part of our future planning". The 30-year-old has been called up to the Croatian national team to prepare for the World Cup (January 14 to February 2), which will take place in his home country, Norway and Denmark.
