RB Leipzig face FC Bayern Munich this Saturday evening in the top match of the Bundesliga. The match, which kicks off at 6.30pm (Sky) in the Allianz Arena, will see RB want and need to score again to underpin their Champions League ambitions.
- Harry Kane and Lois Openda are the two top scorers in the league when Bayern face RB. Kane has 25 goals and five assists, while Openda follows with 16 goals and four assists. The duo have the most shots on goal in the league.
- FC Bayern will be the first Bundesliga team to play their 1,000th home game on Saturday, followed by their 1,000th away game a week later in Freiburg.
- RB have not lost any of their last four competitive matches against Munich. They have even won twice in a row in Munich. Only one team has won three in a row on the Isar: Real Madrid.
- Lois Openda has scored in each of the last five Bundesliga matches. Only Timo Werner, who is on loan at Tottenham, has an even better record in a RB shirt. He even scored seven times in a row in the 2019/20 season.
- Bayern and RB have met 15 times in the Bundesliga so far. The record champions have won seven times and Leipzig only twice, with a goal difference of 19:28. 13 different RB players have scored goals, most frequently Timo Werner, Christopher Nkunku and Emil Forsberg (three each)
