RB Leipzig coach Marco Rose expects midfield star Dani Olmo to be out for another long spell. "It doesn't look too good, he's on his way to the hospital right now. There is already something broken in the shoulder," the head coach told TV channel Sky on Saturday after the Cup winners' 6-0 win over 1. FC Köln. Olmo, who had just been substituted in the 63rd minute, was taken off his legs a little later by Cologne's Luca Kilian and left the pitch again in the 70th minute with a pain-distorted face.
"We have to expect a long downtime," Rose said. Olmo, 25, had just returned to the team after a lengthy layoff because of a knee immersion. "That's really hard for me to take, for the kid, too," Rose said. The Spaniard is important to the RB team as a player and as a person, he said. "It would have been fantastic for the next few weeks to have that player. The difference-makers have to stay healthy," Rose said.
