Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel has taken responsibility for the poor first half in the top match at RB Leipzig. The Munich side had fallen 2-0 behind in the first 45 minutes on Saturday night. "Maybe it was the plan, I take on my shoulders," Tuchel said on Sky channel after the 2:2. "We did not get life into the plan. We were not there at all in the first half."

The speech at the break was therefore also "a bit more emotional," Tuchel explained. After the defeats in the championship against Leipzig and in the DFB Supercup, it was about pride and to show character.

After the goals of the hosts in the Red Bull Arena by Loïs Openda (20th minute) and Castello Lukeba (26th), Torjäger Harry Kane by hand penalty (57th) and Leroy Sané (70th) had still provided for the equalization of Bayern, which remains unbeaten in this season. "It was already a wild ride in the second half," said Tuchel, who, however, had to give up the lead in the standings on Matchday 6 of the Bundesliga.
