Saxony: Average price for building land up sharply in 2022

The average price per square meter for building land has increased significantly in Saxony in 2022. As the State Statistical Office announced on Monday, builders had to pay an average of 107 euros for a square meter. In 2021, the value had been 81.36 euros.

The highest price was 503 euros in Dresden, the lowest in Central Saxony with 28 euros. In total, 6.6 million square meters of building land changed hands last year. It had been recorded 3670 sales.

In addition, 4829 hectares of agricultural land were sold, according to statistics. Per hectare, an average of 14,478 euros had to be paid for it.
