RB Leipzig goalkeeper Péter Gulácsi can travel to the Hungarian national team after all. Head coach Marco Rose gave the all-clear after the Saxons' 3:1 win over SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga on Sunday evening. "Pete got a knock on his toe yesterday, he was bright blue today. Pete said one or two tablets and then he'll be fine," said Rose, adding: "But he forgot to put on a soccer boot, so it wasn't so good. We had to react to that at short notice."
So the RB coach decided after the warm-up that Leopold Zingerle would move into the squad as a substitute keeper behind regular goalkeeper Janis Blaswich. Gulácsi, on the other hand, will travel as planned to the national team, which has to compete in the European Championship qualifiers in Bulgaria on Thursday and then play Montenegro on Sunday. "It's nothing serious, it will hurt for a few days. He can go to the national team, get treatment there and then it will subside and be fine," said Rose.
