Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz visits Dresden ahead of state elections

Just over six months before the state elections, Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD) will visit the state capital Dresden on Thursday. In the morning, he will first be a guest at Elbe Flugzeugwerke. The company specializes in converting passenger aircraft into cargo planes and works for airlines all over the world. Scholz then travels to Glashütte, not far from Dresden, to visit the watch manufacturer Nomos. The company is known for its mechanical watches.

In the afternoon, Scholz will return to Dresden, where he will meet with members of the metro_polis democracy project. The association of the same name, together with Dresden's public transport company, regularly turns a streetcar into a venue for discussions. Moderated discussions regularly take place in the last compartment of a moving streetcar. Finally, Scholz will continue his public dialog in the evening. The venue will be the Kraftwerk Mitte - a cultural center on the edge of the city centre.
