Wind and squalls as well as rain are expected in Saxony at the start of the week. According to the German Weather Service (DWD) on Monday, it will be mainly overcast during the course of the day. There will be prolonged rain on the border with Brandenburg and showers in western Saxony. There will be gusty winds, with some heavy squalls expected on the Fichtelberg. Highs will be between 10 and 12 degrees. At night, it will remain cloudy with occasional rain. It will cool down to temperatures between 4 and 6 degrees.
On Tuesday, it will be overcast and rainy at times. It will snow in the mountains during the day. Highs will be around 7 degrees, in the mountains between 3 and 6 degrees. In the night to Wednesday, the clouds will initially remain in the sky and it will rain lightly. The rain will change to snow down to low altitudes, but will subside again during the night. It will be slippery in places - with lows between 0 and minus 3 degrees, in the mountains down to minus 6 degrees.
