Dani Olmo is set to make his comeback at RB Leipzig after a two-and-a-half-month injury lay-off. Head coach Marco Rose, however, has tempered expectations that the Spanish international will start against Eintracht Frankfurt this Saturday (3.30pm/Sky) in the Bundesliga. "Dani is fit and can get minutes. Overall, however, we know that he won't be able to play 60 or 70 minutes after his knee and shoulder injury. We have to introduce him slowly," said Rose at the press conference on Friday.
However, the impression in training was good. "He feels good, is in a good mood. It's important that we have him and his quality back," said Rose, who has all his players available apart from defender Willi Orban and Amadou Haidara, who was sent off to the Africa Cup.
Rose expects Eintracht to be only slightly different in their first meeting since last year's 2-0 win in the cup final in Berlin. "The basic style won't change, now there's one more factor, more crosses from now on, because there's a target player waiting in the center. It will be our task to defend that as well," Rose emphasized with regard to Frankfurt's new signing Sasa Kalajdzic, who has a very good header in the penalty area. Winter signing Donny van de Beek is also expected to start, and Rose spoke highly of him.
