Freeway ramps blocked again in Saxony

Farmers continued their protests against the federal government on Friday. According to the police, numerous slip roads onto the A4, A13, A14 and A72 freeways were once again blocked in the morning. There were also protests on federal highways such as the B173 in St. Egidien and the B93 in Zwickau. Farmers have been blocking traffic with tractors in many places in the state since Monday. Their protests are directed against planned cuts in subsidies. The federal government wants to gradually abolish preferential treatment for agricultural diesel. The fact that the traffic light coalition has withdrawn some of its plans for cuts is not enough for the farmers.
