The Thuringian Bundesliga handball players withstand the pressure to succeed in the European League and increase their chances of reaching the quarter-finals. They beat Mosonmagyarovar without any danger.

Dresden researchers want to halve chemotherapy in children

Today, nine out of ten children with leukemia survive their illness. However, many suffer from the consequences of chemotherapy for the rest of their lives. Researchers at the NCT/UCC Dresden are working on gentler treatments. Using CRISPR technology and precision medicine, they are looking for molecular weak points in cancer cells. Their goal: in ten years, only half as much chemotherapy.

Saxony launches campaign on violence against women

The figures are depressing, and the number of unreported cases is probably even higher. One in three women experience violence in the course of their lives. A campaign now aims to encourage those affected and raise awareness among others.
