Several train cancellations due to commissioning of a signal box

Due to the commissioning of an electronic signal box in Bad Schandau, there will be train cancellations near Dresden in October. This was announced by Deutsche Bahn on Thursday. According to the statement, several connections will be affected between October 17 and 27, including EC trains between Dresden and the Czech city of Děčín. Replacement buses will be set up, according to Deutsche Bahn.

Also affected are several regional lines in the Dresden region, including the S-Bahn 2 between Dresden Airport and Pirna. Here, train cancellations and timetable changes must be expected, he said. Customers are asked to plan more time for their trips and to inform themselves about cancellations and delays.

In addition to the commissioning of the new signal box, rails and sleepers would also be renewed. Deutsche Bahn said this would help reduce delays in the future.
