A car skidded on the rain-soaked A4 near Chemnitz and its driver was seriously injured. On Sunday evening, a 23-year-old lost control of the car, a police spokesperson said on Monday morning. The car crashed into the car of a 37-year-old man in front and then into a crash barrier. The 37-year-old sustained minor injuries.
Both vehicles had to be towed away after the accident. The highway towards Dresden was fully closed for a short time between the Chemnitz-Ost and Frankenberg junctions.
