Saxony's largest city continues to pursue its e-bus strategy. The Ministry of Transport has now injected millions into Leipzig's public transport company.

Leipzig plans to purchase 40 new e-buses. Transport Minister Martin Dulig (SPD) handed over a funding decision worth 13.6 million euros to Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe (LVB). "This will not only help us to meet the legal requirements, but will also make a significant contribution to achieving environmental and climate protection targets," said the SPD politician. The new buses are to be deployed from 2026.
