A dog owner has fled after his animal killed two sheep in Chemnitz. According to police, 31 sheep had been on a secured area when the dog suddenly ran onto the meadow. It bit a pregnant sheep several times in the head and another animal in the neck. The two sheep were so badly injured that they were killed by a vet shortly afterwards.
The owner of the flock was able to catch the dog and handed it over to its owner. The owner fled the area without giving his personal details. The police are now looking for witnesses to the incident on Friday.
