Kretschmer against often delinquent asylum seekers in the country

Asylum seekers who have committed multiple criminal offenses should not be allowed to remain permanently in the Federal Republic, according to Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer. "Anyone who has regularly committed criminal offenses and wants to come here as an asylum seeker has no business here," the CDU politician said following a foreign cabinet meeting in Freiberg on Tuesday. Many people in the country are not in agreement with the current situation and would demand solutions from politics.

About this Kretschmer wants to talk in the context of the "Germany pact" demanded by Chancellor Olaf Scholz (SPD). Scholz had called a few weeks ago to a national effort to modernize Germany and spoke of a "Germany pact". His appeal was directed at the states and municipalities as well as the opposition, with the exception of the AfD. "We would like to get legal instruments for this," Kretschmer said. Those who could not be flown out for reasons of asylum law should "not continue to run around outside and commit the next crime."

In view of the migration pressure on Europe, Kretschmer had recently stressed the need for "a balance between the toughness of securing the EU's borders and the urgent need to help people in need." Europe must help, he said, but criminal traffickers should not be allowed to decide who comes to Europe.
