The Lord Mayor of Radebeul, Bert Wendsche (non-party), will remain President of the Saxon Association of Towns and Municipalities (SSG) for a further four years. He was unanimously elected at a meeting of the state board on Friday, the SSG announced. Wendsche has led the SSG very successfully through unprecedented challenges over the past four years, explained Managing Director Mischa Woitscheck.

Wendsche, born in 1964, is an educator by training. He later studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Meißen. He was elected Lord Mayor of Radebeul in 2001 and has been re-elected to this office ever since. He has been President of the SSG since 2019.
